Union Training Network

Manitoba Building Trades affiliates deliver high-quality skilled trades training across Winnipeg and throughout the province. Operated by union-run training centres, our programs are led by experts in their respective trades—journeypersons who bring years of real-world experience to every class. Apprentices and workers receive hands-on instruction using the latest tools, equipment, and safety practices, ensuring they gain the practical skills and certifications needed to succeed in Manitoba’s construction industry.

These training centres do more than build skills—they help build strong communities. Through initiatives like Try the Trades and the Manitoba Construction Trades Hub, we are working to ensure that training opportunities are accessible to all, including Indigenous peoples, women, youth, and other underrepresented groups. Our unions are committed to investing in people, providing mentorship, and creating career pathways that strengthen Manitoba’s workforce today and for the future.
